ASA is a not-for-profit trade association, representing companies that buy and sell aircraft parts. ASA focuses on regulatory and legal matters in the U.S. and abroad, as well as quality assurance measures that affect the aviation parts supply industry. Member companies include distributors, suppliers, surplus sales organizations, repair stations, manufacturers, air carriers and other companies that provide a service to the aviation parts supply industry.
ISO 9001:2015 quality management systems standard helps organizations ensure that they meet the needs of customers and other stakeholders while meeting statutory and regulatory requirements of aviation industry. The organization deals with the fundamentals of quality management systems, including the necessary management principles upon which the ISO 9001 standards are based, and controls fulfillment of the quality standard requirements by member organizations.
